Must be employed by a California college, university, school, or district. Retired school employees with a pension statement also qualify. Immediate family members (spouse, domestic partner, parent, sibling, child, grandparent, grandchild) of current members qualify. College students in eligible education programs with student teaching requirements also eligible. Membership is for life.
