🏨 How much would I save staying off property at Disney World?
📅 Trip Details
[-] As Darren notes, it's often debated whether or not you should stay off property at Disney World. If you're looking within the value category so between $120 and $150 per night and if you're trying to reduce cost as much as possible you can get a lot more value at certain off-site hotels. Use this calculator to compare the true cost of an on-property Disney Value resort versus an off-property hotel.
🏰 Disney Value Resort
[-] Base nightly rates are only part of the story. Disney Value resorts typically run $120 to $150 per night and do not include breakfast. Meanwhile, many off-site options include free hot breakfast for the whole family.
As Darren points out about properties like the Drury Plaza, rates are usually between $150 and $180 per night so right on par with the Disney values which do not include a free breakfast or snacks.
🏨 Off-Site Hotel
[-] The catch with staying off-site is how you get to the parks. As Darren explains, the new Flamingo Crossing area located on Disney property is just behind Disney's Animal Kingdom. These hotels are often under $130 per night.
They all offer a free breakfast but the theme park shuttle isn't free and if you have to drive to the parks you'll need to pay the parking fee of around $30 per day.
